Chris's 2008/9 Prod A Mini
Chris is racing the Orange and White Mini in Prod A again in 2009. This car suffered a number of problems during 2008, which have been ironed out over the winter. Now that the car is not going to be shared with Kallum, it will have the Diff locked to give a bigger advantage soon. This car previous was raced by Steve Diaper and Shaun Russell with much success.2nd Team Mini racing in 2009
We have added a second mini to the ranks which will be raced by Danni Reader & Kallum Pye during 2009 in the Prod A and Novice Junior Classes respectably. We have finally got this car ready to race thanks to Stuart of TRX Motorsport. Kallum made a smashing debut in the car on May 10th. It is hoped that Danni will race it a some meetings also in 2009. The group that Chris raced in 2007 was called Mod C. There are no specific reason for the name apart from it is the 3rd group up in terms of engine capacity/performance. The first two being Prod A (1000cc) and Prod B (1400cc). These two classes are production classes, where the cars must remain pretty standard in terms of modifications. In Mod C there are more tweeks possible such as caster/camber, brake upgrades and suspension changes.The rule book overview is as follows "Modified Saloons (C's): Up to 1600cc FWD or RWD, OHC or OHV.Vauxhall 1600 and any OHC standard engines only. No 1600 Nova's or Corsa's"
Chris ran a Mk 1 Fiesta running in pretty much original XR2 spec in 2007.
